Selected wood types can easily withstand outdoor use thanks to their properties.
Wood contains substances that make it durable. These may be resins (softwoods), tannic acid (some hardwoods) or other substances, depending on the type of wood. The authenticity of the wood is also guaranteed by the knots, peeling and veining patterns. The number and size of the knots can vary from species to species. They give the wood its vibrancy and character.
REAL DECK Thermo Pine and Thermo Ash lumber is produced using the WTT process, which involves heat treatment of the wood at 180°C. REAL DECK Western Red Cedar is supplied in "twisted" quality and because it is a wood with a density of only 340-460 kg/m3 the supplied thickness of this wood is 40 mm.
We supply Pine decking and Pressure Treated Pine decking according to EN 14519. Wolmanite and bochemite pressure impregnated pine has greenish efflorescence (Wolmanite) and whitish efflorescence (bochemite) on the surface, especially in the bark area. This is a resin produced during the pressure impregnation process and mixed with the impregnating agent. These light green or whitish salt blooms weather over time.
Siberian larch is one of the most valuable and durable coniferous woods. The resin it contains is a natural water repellent and protects the wood from fungal attack. Due to its slow growth in cold regions, Siberian Larch is harder than European Larch.
