Under Constructions for Facades

Recommendation

The lower structure is Alfa & Omega for perfect facade functionality. Without a perfect substructure, defects will quickly appear on your façade. The façade acts as a whole.

For the timber substructure, only timber of the same or similar density as the timber forming the façade should be used for even swelling and shrinkage.

The slats for the substructure must not exceed a moisture content of 18 + - 2 % when installed. The base slats must be fixed to the substructure using approved anchoring means. The choice of anchoring means is governed by the substrate and the load to be carried.

Pine, larch, Thermo wood pine, or dark red meranti, all wood species we offer in facades are also available in base beams.
